What started in 1986 as Shanti Clinic and Daycare Centre — a 6-bed unit run by Dr R T Patil, the first paediatrician in Bagalkot — has grown into a 200-bed multi-specialty hospital with 4 OT's, a 25-bedded adult ICU, a cath lab and advanced infrastructure.

Dr. Sunil J. Patil, MD (Pediatrics), FPCC, led the establishment of tertiary Pediatric Intensive Care and Neonatology units in Bagalkot. He has also been instrumental in the accreditation of DNB and Fellowship courses at Shanti Hospital.

The Beginning
Shanti Children's Hospital was started in Bagalkot after Dr. R. T. Patil completed his MD in Pediatrics and worked at JJ Hospital, Bombay for a year.

Shanti Hospital was established in Bagalkot as a 100-bedded multispecialty hospital, expanding its commitment to comprehensive healthcare.
